"Nije bilo vitra" is a documentary about the island of Zlarin in Croatia. The oldest inhabitants of the island that has not more than 200 hundred inhabitants, talk about the times when they were young: about the second world war, about the life in Yugoslavia after the war, up until the last war in Croatia. They tell about their loves, struggles, parties and hardships. At the same time, the film exposes the artificiality about the form of the documentary film and how it manipulates the stories.
